Max. size:  5.4 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 2 years
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: found only in Coosa River system in Georgia, Alabama and southeastern Tennessee, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit vegetated springs and spring runs (Ref. 5723, 10294). Adults feed on amphipods, midge larvae, isopods and copepods (Ref. 10294). Eggs are found attached to the substrate unguarded (Ref. 7043).
