Family:  Epigonidae (Deepwater cardinalfishes)
Max. size:  16.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 200 - 900 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: seamounts in the Eltanin Fracture Zone and the Louisville Ridge.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 6-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9. Lacks opercular spines (Ref. 31632).
Biology:  A mesobenthic-pelagic species living mainly above the bottom (Ref. 31632).
