Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 100 - 347 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaiian Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10. Large scales. Lacks an opercular spine. No teeth on tongue and no enlarged teeth in the mandibular symphysis (Ref. 31632).
Biology:  A mesobenthic-pelagic species living mainly above the bottom (Ref. 31632). Minimum depth range from Ref. 122680.
