Distribution:  Africa: only known from the type locality: forest stream at Sciere near Kindu, a tributary of the Kasuku River (Lualaba, upper Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 2801, 45434).
Diagnosis:  Description: A single pair of barbels (Ref. 122753).
