Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: known from Lake Bangweulu (Ref. 2801, 42135) and Kasanka National Park (Ref. 95585) in the upper Congo River basin in Zambia.
Diagnosis:  Description: A single pair of barbels (Ref. 122753).
Biology:  Maximum TL was recorded at 4.9 cm (Ref. 2801).

Threat to humans:  harmless
