Max. size:  4.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 79 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: known only from the holotype, collected in the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9. About 40 lateral scales and 35 predorsal scales, the latter reaching anteriorly between the orbits onto the snout, ending at the level of the anterior nasal openings, a transverse row of cheek papillae between the posterodorsal eye and the upper longitudinal row, another transverse row connecting the two longitudinal rows.
