| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 13-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-10; Vertebrae: 27. Lower pharyngeal bone short. Pharyngeal teeth in adult including a group of enlarged, flattened teeth. Scales of chest and belly very small, non-imbrication but contiguous. Scales of flank with rugose calculi in the exposed part. Scales on cheek in 2 or 3 series. No micro-branchiospines. | |||
