Max. size:  57.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 1 - 194 m, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Brazil, Montevideo, Uruguay (Ref. 26282) and Argentina (Ref. 47377).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A coastal demersal species, but more oceanic than similar species.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 04 September 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
