Family:  Cynoglossidae (Tonguefishes), subfamily: Cynoglossinae
Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Borneo, Sumatra and Cambodia.
Diagnosis:  Blind side with ctenoid scales, except head region with cycloid or weakly ctenoid scales. Only 17 or 18 scales between dorsolateral and midlateral lines (Ref 9895).
Biology:  Inhabits rivers (Ref. 5297). A freshwater species found well above the tidal zone. Stays on the bottom where it feeds on benthic invertebrates. Marketed fresh (Ref. 12693).
