Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Cuyuní River of eastern Venezuela to Sinnamary River basin of French Guiana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Captured in a creek, over sand, gravel and rocks. Rare and appears to frequent the upstream areas of rivers (Ref. 12225).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 December 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
