Diagnosis: | Can be distinguished from other congeners in Danube basin by the following characters: absence of transverse bands on pelvic; lateral line complete; absence of prickling on body; anal fin with 14-15 rays, rarely 13; second dorsal fin usually with 17-19 rays; lateral head length 27-33% SL (Ref. 59043). | |||
