Distribution:  Asia: Dalaman river drainage in Turkey.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal soft rays: 6-6. Cobitis damlae is distinguished from its congeners by its arched mouth with three pairs of short barbels, dorsal fin with 6.5 branched rays, pectoral fin with 6 branched rays, pelvic fin with 5 branched rays, anal fin with 5 branched rays, caudal fin with n8+8n branched rays, body without pigment and completely scaled, and vestigial eyes (Ref. 106506).
