Environment:  demersal; brackish
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Bot River and Kleinmond estuary in the southwestern Cape Province of South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 32-35; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-8; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 23-25
Biology:  Common among riverine and estuarine weeds. Gravid females found between March and September.
