Distribution:  Oceania: Queensland, Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits marshy, vegetated shallow pools (1-10 centimeters in depth) fed by mound springs. Captive breeding populations have been established to ensure its survival (Ref. 44894).
