Family:  Serranidae (Sea basses: groupers and fairy basslets)
Max. size:  16.16 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 80 - 200 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits the shelf and the shelf edge, on sandy mud bottoms (Ref. 11230). Food fish. Found over sandy-silt bottom (Ref. 559).
