Max. size:  20.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 3990 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic: Porcupine Depression, south of Ireland.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 69-69. Head small, considerably flattened, width almost 1.5 times greater than its depth. Caudal fin rays 9. Hypural plate single; epural absent. Abdominal disc (sucker) small (4%SL), no musculature. Peritoneum black (Ref. 33642).
Biology:  Known from only one specimen (Ref. 35937).
