Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 16 - 18 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: known only from the type locality, Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7
Biology:  Occurs on coarse sand, sometimes with algae or rubble (Ref. 11666).
