Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the Huallaga River basin at Tarapoto and Tingo MarĂ­a, Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit rivers with swift, clear water and with sand, rubble, gravel and mud bottoms (Ref. 9088).
