Max. size:  41.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: restricted to the Ivindo River basin and the Ntem River basin (Ref. 81635).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 23-24; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 28-31. Body deep and laterally compressed (Ref. 81635). Dorsal profile of the back straight, upper profile of head straight, pointing downward; ventral side of the head concave; snout elongate, its length 29 to 35 % of head length (Ref. 81635). Submental swelling reduced (Ref. 81635).
