Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Lower Kapuas basin in Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 1-2; Anal soft rays: 25-27; Vertebrae: 30-31. Body scales with blue iridescence when live; distinct black lower lip with black chin bar; very slim body (body depth at dorsal-fin origin 20.6-22.9% SL; height at pectoral-fin origin 12.8-15.5% SL); 23-24 predorsal scales; 31-33 lateral scales and 25-27 anal fin rays (Ref. 57022).
