Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range - 981 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: known from the type locality, off Point Aguja, Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Holotype taken from a depth of 981 m (Ref. 26282). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 31 January 2006 Ref. (120744)
Threat to humans:  harmless
