| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-10; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-15. Body with 6-8 dark pigment bands (Ref. 5320). | |||
| Biology: | Depth range also reported at 4250 m-5700 m (Ref. 6688). Rare, probably solitary. Feeds on small benthopelagic crustaceans (Ref. 6688). | |||
