| Biology: | Almost exclusive inhabitant of the continental rise, but also caught from lower slope to abyssal depths (Ref. 84269). Uncommon species (Ref. 34024). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205). | |||
