Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic and Western Indian Ocean: False Bay to Transkei (South Africa).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 75-81; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 60-69; Vertebrae: 41-43. Brownish yellow, yellow on median fins more intense; body and bases of dorsal and anal fins with dark patches (Ref. 3200).
