Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: No subfamily
Max. size:  31.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to Lake Lanao, Mindanao, Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Fresh specimen color dark green dorsally, whitish on sides, and overcast with brassy or golden, especially on belly; top of head and snout blackish with pearly epidermal spots also on suborbital and opercle; fins pale or with roseate flush. 11 scales from nape to dorsal; 2.5 scale rows between ventrals and lateral line. Wide short snout without prominent protuberances.
