Max. size:  7.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi. Reported from Likoma, Domwe and Thumbi West Islands, Monkey Bay, Nankumba and Nkhata Bay.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lives over sand and feeds on sand-dwelling invertebrates (Ref. 5595).
