Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: North Carolina, USA and northeastern Gulf of Mexico to northern coast of Venezuela; absent from Bahamas.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in Thalassia testudium beds (Ref. 9626).
