Max. size:  4.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Western Australia to Tasmania and New South Wales, Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 6-7. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 9002). Pelvic fins united into moderate-sized double sucking-disc, posterior half with fleshy margin (Ref. 9002). Color variable, usually plain greenish to dusky brown, often with numerous small dark spots (Ref. 9002).
Biology:  Occurs in shallow coastal reefs, usually in ledges with sea urchins (Ref. 9002).
