Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Maracaibo basin, Venezuela. Also from the Catatumbo River (Ref. 26543).
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 137-155
Biology:  Inhabits small streams (Ref. 26543). Feeds mainly on macro-invertebrates (Ref. 26543).
