Environment:  bathydemersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southeast Honshu, Japan and Taiwan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A little-known deepwater bottom shark. Oviparous with one egg per oviduct.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 27 August 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
