Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Rottnest Island to Twilight Cove, Great Australian Bight in Western Australia; Stenhouse Bay, York Peninsula, South Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 17-18; Dorsal soft rays (total): 18-19; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7; Vertebrae: 34-34
Biology:  Occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Common in weedy reef areas (Ref. 9816, 86913).
