Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the region of the lower Trombetas River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
