Max. size:  8.31 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: rivers in the western Caspian coast (eastern Ciscaucasia) from Sulak southward to rivers at Derbent, Russia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers mountainous sections of rivers and streams, though also occurs in small dam lakes and canals (Ref. 82592).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 22 August 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
