Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 14-16; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-9; Vertebrae: 27-27. Distinguished from its congeners which have vermiculated color pattern on the cheek, snout and preopercle and a high vertebral count, but it differs from the rest by having a continuous lateral stripe, and in having the lateral dark pigment blotch positioned high on both sides of the body (Ref. 121640). |
