Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.80000019073486; dH range: 3 - 19
Distribution:  South America: restricted to the Aguaytía and Pachitea rivers of the Amazon River basin, Peru.
Biology:  Inhabit streams. Is rare in the aquarium trade but has been imported on occasion (Ref. 12251).
