Distribution: Africa: Ntem River in Gabon and Cameroon, and rivers Campo, Ivindo, Lobe, Nyong and Sanaga in Cameroon (Ref. 81251). Reports from the Congo basin are another species, probably referring to the valid M. christyi (Ref. 52369).
