Distribution: Africa: Fouta Djalon region in Guinea (upper Gambia, Bafing, upper Konkouré and the upper basins of the Little Scarcies rivers) (Ref. 2940, 81282). Also known from the rivers of Guinea Bissau (Ref. 2801). Ref. 13331 also reports species in Géba and Kolenté (Great Scarcies) rivers.
