Etymology: Bedotia: After Maurice Bedot, 1859-1927; born in Geneva, systematist on Hydrozoan;  marojejy: Named for the locality in which the type series was collected.

Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal soft rays: 17; Vertebrae: 34. A series of dark blotches arrayed along the lateral midline. Low vertebral count 34 including the terminal, hypural-bearing half centrum. Gut extremely short, only about 1/3 of body length (Ref. 39866).
