Pending more detailed study, date of introduction assumes fish was found two years prior to publication of Ref. 12812. The speculated reason of success is the paucity of nocturnal competitors which may have facilitated population growth and expansion (Ref. 43448). Found in Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus (Ref. 88082). Also Ref. 56700, 95695.
