Collected near Dibrugarh on the upper Assamese portion of Brahmaputra R. drainage, Assam. Neotype locality was a swamp-like tributary over 1 m deep with stagnant, brownish water, situated in plains, in a forest landscape, and with trees close to the bank, trees and waterlilies in the water; sandy bottom (Ref. 46238).
