Occurs in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland (Ref. 5259). Known from Mulgrave and South Johnstone rivers, Wet Tropics, Northern Queensland (Ref. 40054); upper Burdekin River (Ref. 40171). Known from the drainages of the east coast from the Clarence river (NSW) to central Cape York Peninsula (Qld) (Ref. 44894). Adversely affected by Gambusia holbrooki (Ref. 48787).
