Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Found in Rio Unini basin, in mid-sized streams within dense forest vegetation and these streams are blackwater throughout most of the year. During the dry season, some streams carry a small amount of sediment and present higher pH and conductivity values. Substrate consists of sand and silt and collections done using handnets sweeping stream bottom in depths that ranged from 0.4 to 1.5 meters. Stream temperature varied from 24.8 °C to 26.7 °C, pH from 5.2 to 6.5, conductivity from 8.8 to 18.6 µS/cm, and dissolved oxygen from 1.07 to 6.68 mg/l. Also collected together with this species are at least 40 species, including other undescribed species, from different taxonomic groups (Ref. 92919).
