Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 17 - 19; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7-9; Épines anales 8-10; Rayons mous anaux: 6 - 7; Vertèbres: 28. This species is characterized by the following: fourth bar on side of body Y-shaped, this is formed by ventral coalescence of 4th and 5th bars; posterior end of dentigerous arm of dentary triple-spined, squarish or bluntly pointed; with double medial-loop in the gut; differs from its congeners in having a posteriad projection at dorsal corner in lower lip (vs. absent), peritoneal pigmentation is uniformly sparse (vs. uniformly dark or silvery), 5-5.5 (vs. 5 or fewer) scales from lateral line to origin of dorsal fin (Ref. 74403).
