A moderately large species of Garra with smoothly rounded snout, rostral lobes present, proboscis absent, tubercles on anterior aspect of snout, scaled predorsal region, chest and abdomen, two pairs of barbels, lateral line scales 33, circumpeduncular scale rows 16. Distinguished from other Garra species by a black band across the posterior margin of the head, between left and right side pectoral fin bases.
具有平滑地圓形的吻一個 Garra 的普通大種, 喙葉存在的, 長鼻不存在, 小瘤在前面吻，覆有鱗片的前背區域，胸與腹部的面，兩對的觸鬚，側線鱗片 33 ， circumpeduncular 鱗片列 16. 在左邊與右邊胸鰭基底之間,與橫過頭部的後面的邊緣的一條黑色條紋的其他 Garra 種區分了。
