Distinguished from known Bryconamericus species by: soft, flexible lips that completely cover the external row of teeth of the premaxilla when the mouth closed; a long and wide fontanel (principally in the middle and posterior part); and by the insertion of the first four pterygiophores in front of the anal fin on the haemal spine of the third caudal vertebra (Ref. 49955).
與已知 Bryconamericus 種區分了被: 完全地覆蓋前頜骨的齒的外部列的軟又柔韌有彈性的唇當嘴巴關閉的時候; 一個長與寬的囟門;(主要地在中央與較後面的部分中) 而且藉由在第三個尾部的脊椎骨的脈棘上的臀鰭前面中的前面四個支鰭骨的嵌入.(參考文獻 49955)
