Épines dorsales (Total): 3 - 5; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 20-22; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 23 - 25. Sexual dimorphism in the structure of the first dorsal fin, first ray thickened and very long in males, slender and short in females; large head, 2.3-2.6 times in SL (Ref. 41739).
