পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 1; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 7; পায়ূ কাঁটা 1; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 5. Dorsal series of plates reduced, with no plates in the dorsal series between the dorsal-fin origin and the end of the adipose fin; both teeth cusps approximately equal in size (Ref. 42856).

Found in a small, shallow stream, with clear water and moderate to strong current. Bottom formed by rocks, loose stones and gravel. Forest and grass usually present on the margins (Ref. 45132).
