Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 14 - 17; Épines anales 16-18; Vertèbres: 32 - 33. Short alveolar arm of premaxilla; very narrow and short ventral process of angulo-articular; ventroposterior part of mesopterygoid overlapping dorsal border of quadrate; truncate dorsal portion of opercle. Absence of gill-rakers denticles on the first branchial arch. Narrow lateral process of sphenotic. Ventral opercular neuromasts 5-6. Deepest body point on vertical through an area between pectoral and pelvic-fin bases. Dorsal-fin rays in males, 15-18, 14-17 in females; anal-fin rays 17-20 in males, 17-20 in females; caudal-fin rays 26-29. Caudal and pectoral fins rounded. Supraorbital neuromasts 24-28 (Ref. 40938).
