পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 15; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 30; কশেরুকা : 63 - 65. Differs from all other Neosalanx by its relatively large size, to 10 cm (versus only to 6.4 cm) and more numerous total vertebrae, 63-65 (versus 59 or less), snout relatively elongate; males with 20-28 anal scales (Ref. 34809).
