Usually in clear, slow moving shallow water over sand or small pebbles, or stagnant areas along upper and middle river courses. The species consumes a wide variety of food, including most aquatic algae, small crustaceans and aquatic insect larvae. The spawning season is supposed to be in May.
通常在清澈的, 在沙子或者小的小圓石上的緩慢移動的淺水區, 否則污濁的區域沿著上游與中游的河段。 此魚種消費各式各樣的食物, 包括大多數的水生藻類, 小型甲殼動物與水生的昆蟲幼生。 產卵季節應該是五月時。
